Finding the dress is one of the most emotional moments in wedding planning, and TDR Bridal has built its reputation on making that moment feel special. The boutique, which began life as The Dressing Rooms Halesowen, was named a National Winner at The Wedding Industry Awards 2026.

TDR was founded in 2007 by Rebecca, whose background was in wedding floristry and bridal fashion. Lawson joined the business in 2018 as it gained momentum. The couple first met at primary school, sharing a desk at the age of eight, and were reunited years later in 2002.

Their ethos is simple and has never changed: "Be kind, be caring, be thoughtful, be compassionate." Rebecca is also a winner, mentor and judge for The Wedding Industry Awards.

The collection is vast, with more than 600 styles hand-picked from designers around the world, including Justin Alexander, Enzoani, Katy Corso and Ellis Bridal. Brides are welcomed into one of eight styled suites, and VIP appointments are free, with the boutique open seven days a week including three late nights.

What really sets TDR apart is its commitment to giving back. Twice a year it holds a raffle in which one bride can win back the cost of her dress, up to £2,000, for a £5 ticket, with every penny going to Mary Stevens Hospice. Brides can choose to have a tree planted with the National Forest for every dress sold, and the boutique stocks Freedom Veils, which supports survivors of human trafficking.

Inclusivity matters too. TDR has pledged support for Purple Tuesday, with changing rooms sized for wheelchair access, and in 2021 the team learnt sign language so they could celebrate with deaf brides. One wheelchair-using bride wrote that TDR made her journey "beyond anything I could've ever imagined or hoped for". Health and emergency workers with a Blue Light Card are also offered a discount.

It is no surprise that so many brides describe their visit as a celebration. As the boutique puts it, every bride who walks through the doors becomes part of the TDR family.

Appointments can be booked through the TDR Bridal website.
